Sharshadi Shahi Mosque is located in Sharshadi village of Sadar Upazila of Feni District of Chittagong Division. Locally it is known as Takiyah Mosque. It is also known as Fakhruddin Mubarak Shah Mosque.
Fakhruddin Mubarak Shah was the founder of the first independent Sultanate of Bengal. Sonnargaon was the capital of his rule. After conquering the states of Comilla, Noakhali, Sylhet, Tripura and Arakan, he felt the need to make a separate capital for these regions.[2] This second capital was the Sarshdi region of Feni, which is now a union. During his rule, he prepared many dams, mosques and tombs. This mosque is one of them. The mosque is mainly made of lime, surki and brick. Its walls are about 5 feet thick. Its walls are decorated with various vine and leaf crafts. It has three domes on its roof and the middle dome is larger in size. 47 mosques in Bangladesh have been taken under the Directorate of Archaeology. This mosque is one of them
